Q: What is a seed post?
Seed posts are usually the first post of a new storyline placed by staff, using the rpggm tag. Their purpose is to give players a place to start off in a staff run storyline.

Q: Can a seed post appear anywhere else in a storyline?
Sometimes a seed post will appear in the middle of a storyline to throw things into the story for the characters to deal with, overcome, or adjust to, before continuing. Also, if a storyline has stalled out, a seed post may be used to try and kick start it.

Q: What kind of seed posts might I find in the middle of a thread?
Seeds posts can be things like a description of the weather, unexpected attacks by enemies, or just about anything that makes it necessary for the characters to react to it in some way. These posts are meant to help flesh out a storyline, and give the players more to work with in their story.

Q: How do I tell the difference between a seed post and a thread started by a player?
Seed posts starting off a new staff run storyline will be marked with a ** at the beginning of their title. This will help you identify them from storylines started by players. They are also placed by the rpggm tag.
